Staged reading was something I had always wanted to try and so I was thrilled to play The Acrobat et. al. in Matilda at BYU! It was so fun to see how much I could communicate of this very visual role when I was in a fairly static place on the stage. My favorite moment of the process was when my friend told me my performance made her cry. I understood how facial expressions and vocal inflection, even in small roles, can make a huge impact!
