This past summer, I performed as Isabella in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure with the Prague Shakespeare Company, following four-weeks of intensive masterclasses in acting with prolific instructors from around the globe.
Directed by Alasdair Hunter, this project was an amazing growth experience in such an intimidating and beautifully written role, and a great opportunity to work with artists from different backgrounds! We performed at the historic Divadlo Bez Zabradli, and I found such great connection in sharing Isabella’s journey to find the balance between her strength and kindness. My favorite line is “O, it is excellent to have a giant’s strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant” (II.II). Speaking this truth into the packed theater was the best feeling in the world,
