I was fortunate to perform as Hermia in Renaissance Now’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream tour! We performed in Utah at the Castle Rock Amphitheater and off-Broadway for a weekend in NYC, which was an incredible experience! Hermia has always been a dream role of mine, and I especially resonate with the sentiment that “…though she be but little, she is fierce” (Act III, Scene II). I loved giving Hermia a chance to break out of her ingenue mold and become a true diva, with equal parts sass and vulnerability. Hearing the laughs from the audience as I was tossed around during the lovers scene absolutely made my day every time.
